The Wildcats kept it close for the entire first half and went into the break down just 27-26. It was still a one-point game a few minutes into the second half, but Nebraska opened some breathing room with an 8-2 run for a 40-33 edge.

Two free throws by Griffin gave Nebraska an 11-point advantage with 10:59 to play and the Huskers blew it open soon after. A layup by Taelor Karr pulled Kansas State within 49-40, but Nebraska scored the next 11 points to put it away.
